Had a good time with this one. Creepy in a lot of good ways, a good kind of perplexing. Just wish there'd been more, but that's a good problem for a game to have. Keep making games, please.
I loved this so much, the visuals, the story, the gameplay was so smooth and the overall experience made me feel incredibly uncomfortable, so well done!
This was a fun experience! You really nail the eeriness of deep sea exploring. I've posted a review on the jam submission page, and made a playthrough video:
Amazing project with an incredible aesthetic which reminds us of the old PS1 graphics. The mood is creepy, but not enough to discourage me. Also, there are many good ideas in this project which I cannot technically explain like the textures deformation. I loved the buffer overflow at the end. As a 6DoF controller, it could be interesting to change keys so as to approach something like Forsaken or Descent games. However, after a while, I could use them efficiently. Thank you for this weird trip. You made the grade. I wish you the best ++
Gostei, mano! É uma ambientação bem diferenciada, ainda tendo algumas referências nos cenários! Em uma primeira olhada pode parecer meio confuso, mas é legal você buscar um significado para o que o criador quis passar com a história. recomendo!
This was really good! I can see what you were going for with the movement and way that you moved. It added another layer to the game and uneasiness to how it played out. The atmosphere was amazing and i loved playing it! Here's my playthrough if you wanna see! (it starts at 3:06)
Fun! I'm not really sure what else to say. It's basic, short, and sweet, and I mean that in a good way. It has a weird, surreal vibe, and it does what it does well without overstaying its welcome. (The style is particularly good.)
Definitely check it out, it's only like 5-10 minutes long, so why not? (Also watch the video!)
I dunno. It didn't scare me much. That blue thing in the end (I don't wanna give any spoilers, hence I am not using the actual name) did give me some spooks but that was it. Maybe because the player isn't actually a human but a bot. So, it doesn't quite give a do-or-die experience.
Perfectly fair, I was aiming more towards creating an atmosphere than trying to be outright scary, and I do agree with you and some other commenters that it probably would've been more effective if the player wasn't a drone!
I'm already a big fan of the Haunted Ps1 genre, all the ones I've played are dope including this one. I really liked the mystery of "what happened to Dive Team Alpha?". Over-all I think the concept of being an ROV and not a human in any real danger took away from the tension, but it aloud stuff like the scanning to take place so it makes sense. The game still had a great deep sea atmosphere and was so quiet when a sound DID play it scared the mess outta me.

This game was very interesting. These are my favorite kind of horror games.
Hey! I did a big roundup on a bunch of games in the jam (including yours) with some thoughts on each. Figured I'd share it here for anyone interested!
Brilliant
What a crisp presentation, short and sweet <3

Good stuff. Even though it was kind of short, it was a lot better than a lot of the other PS1-styled horror games.
